Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to the Black & White blog hop! We’re happy to have you joining us today, and wanted to take a moment to say a big “Thank You” to our friend Carla at Creatin’ in the Sticks for hosting the hop. We hope that you’ll enjoy seeing the great black & white projects, and perhaps you’ll find something that inspires you.
Thanks to my job, I have a wonderful quilting friend, Linda! Since we exchange gifts at Christmas, I wanted to make her something extra special! Her favorite “colors” are black, white and red. She and I found the cutest Nancy Halvorson book, “Love Is” and on the cover is a bag that says “Love is quilting.” I set the book aside, knowing that I had finally found the bag which I was going to make her for Christmas.
As you are all aware at this point, I’m somewhat sneaky. When Linda and I went quilt shop shopping, I asked her about various black, white and red fabrics to get her opinion as to whether or not she liked them. I got busy during my long Thanksgiving weekend and sewed the bag just for her! Don’t you just love it? Linda certainly does.
As most of you know, animal applique patterns are one of our specialties, and we have more a few black & white animals: penguins, zebra, panda, skunk, orca, cow, puffin, just to name a handful. All of these fun black & white animal designs are available to purchase from our pattern shop.
Of course, we love to make our animal designs even more whimsical. Here are some of my black and white favorites!
Our panda ballerina is ready to dance her way into your heart!
Not to be shown up by the panda, this zany zebra can kick up her heels higher than anyone else you would see on safari!
Just in case you are a music lover, this black and white fellow’s vocal stylings are unparalleled! (Sharon says that this guy reminds her of someone who is famous for writing and singing “Crocodile Rock”.)
Since I seem to have a thing for pandas and zebras today, I love this little fella. Just sayin’!
Thank you for stopping by our blog and letting us share our blacks and whites! We love your comments! Don’t forget to hop to the other blogs who are participating in this events; there are SO many great black & white projects to inspire you. The blog hop schedule and list of links is down below.
