Hi Quilting Friends,
My OMG for October is to finish up my “Guiding Light” wall quilt. It is ready to be fused & quilted, and I’ve finally found some background fabric to make the “sky”. Here’s a “before” photo:

I’ve made at least six other wall hangings with the “Pine Needles” patterns by McKenna Ryan. They are such fun to make, and I’ve been very happy with the results. This time I’m going to use fusible fleece instead of batting between the quilt top and backing. I think that it will do a fantastic job of holding the layers in place while I stitch.
And away we go!
Happy quilting,
Sharon

That is a really cute Santa pattern. How intricate the pieces are. It must be a challenge to cut out all the pieces, especially the tree! I’m looking forward to seeing it finished… or at least fused on the backing.

Thanks Bonnie! You’re right, there is lots of detail so I am taking it slowly. It will be fun to make, and I am excited to get going on it.
