12 Days of Christmas – 1

Hi Quilting Friends,

Welcome to our “12 Days of Christmas” blog series! We’re glad you’ve joined us.

Can you believe that it is already the first day of December?  It’s been a super busy year and now it’s time to get ready for all the Christmas activities!

I decided to mix things up this year and made something besides quilts, so I’ve been working on bed runners with coordinating pillows and shams.

Today I’d like to share just part of our new Christmas designs, a Christmas pillow!  Roses make me think of Christmas.  As kids, our first Christmas celebration was at Grandma and Grandpa Rose’s cabin in the mountains on Christmas eve.  We would have a grand feast and then open gifts with our siblings, parents and the grandparents.  Ah, sweet memories.  These pillows are in memory of both of our Rose grandparents.

And now, without further adieu, here is our new “Christmas Roses” pillow design, which finishes at 16” by 16″ square.

I chose to make roses with holly and berries, but the pattern also includes a simplified version of the rose applique if the holly and berries seem a bit too much.

Please stay tuned, we also have new patterns for matching Christmas shams and a coordinating bed runner which will be featured later on in the “Twelve Days of Christmas” series. You can browse our other Christmas designs in Ms P’s Christmas Shop!

Update: Congratulations to Cassandra D, winner of the “Christmas Roses” pillow pattern! Enjoy!

We’re having a giveaway! Enter to win the “Christmas Roses” PDF pillow pattern. Entries will be accepted until December 3, and the winner will be notified by December 5.

Thanks again for visiting! Please plan to stop by again tomorrow for more holiday fun.

Happy quilting,

Susan
