Saturday Stitching for RSC 22

Hi Quilting Friends,

I’ve spent some happy hours, stitching red blocks for the January challenge. I started stitching last Saturday, but I didn’t get a picture of my blocks. I also stitched yesterday, and so I’m posting photos of my blocks from both sewing sessions.

I managed nine sets of light & dark blocks in red and “light”.

I’ve used up all of my appropriately-sized red scraps (for now), so this will be it for my January RSC.

Happy Quilting,

Sharon

I’m linking up with Angela at SoScrappy, for the RSC 2022.

  1. I don’t know why, but I am having a hard time understanding how the “Rainbow Scrap Challenge” works. Can you help me understand how it works?? I’ve looked back at previous years and the quilts are beautiful . Thanks …Deb

    1. Hi Deb,
Each month there’s an assigned color, and participants make blocks of their choice in that color. You can make what you like with scraps that you already have, and end up with a set of blocks for a quilt by the end of the year. Angela at SoScrappy is the host, and she has a post each Saturday where you can link up to show your progress and see what others are doing. I particpated for the first time last year, and I enjoyed sifting through my scrap collection and making my blocks. Hope that this helps! :o)
