Hi Quilting Friends,
Sharon here today, and I’m pretty excited to introduce three brand-new foundation paper-pieced vehicle patterns. These new designs were suggested by a customer who is making a special quilt for her 3-year-old grandson, and I was happy to assist her with these additional vehicles.
When my sons (now 32 and 35) were small, I looked and looked for “little boy” quilting patterns when I wanted to make special quilts for their beds, but “manly” quilt patterns just didn’t exist at that time. (I had to look pretty hard to even find “manly” fabric for them.)
I really enjoy creating “boy” patterns, now that I’m a pattern designer. I hope that you’ll enjoy seeing the additions to our fleet!
Logging Truck
The logging truck can haul a large load of logs from the worksite to the lumbermill, even when the roads are rutted and rough. This block finishes at 7″ tall by 10.5″ long.
The logging truck makes me think of this song, which was taught to us by our Dad! Sing along with me if you like.
Big Rig Semi-Truck
Rollin’ down the road on 18 wheels, the semi truck is ready for those long hauls. They’ll deliver the cargo, no matter how far away the destination. This block finishes at 7″ tall by 10.5″ long.
The big rig truck brought back memories of this fun song. Makes me want to take a road trip, right now! “That’s a big 10-4, good buddy!”
Pickup Truck
What can I say about men and their pickup trucks! Gotta love them, right? The pickup truck block finishes at 7″ x 7″ square.
This song might explain why boys of all ages LOVE their pickup trucks-
Maybe you have a special little (or bigger) guy (or girl) who loves to play with trucks. This would be the perfect time to create a unique quilt with their favorites, for a treasued gift. Visit Ms P’s Pattern Shop to browse our complete selection of vehicle patterns-
We hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing our new trucks today! If you have a suggestion for an addition to our line of vehicles, we’d love to know about it. Just drop a comment or send us a message. Thanks for stopping by, and happy motoring! Vroom, vroom, vroom!
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan
P.S. My “One Monthly Goal” for September was to finish stitching up these truck blocks, and to get the patterns published. Ta-done!
