FAQ’s

How often will you post a new block pattern?

New block patterns will be posted every two weeks, on Monday morning! The first block will be released on Monday, January 4.

What is the price for each block pattern?

The individual block patterns will be offered at the introductory price of $3 USD for just seven days after the block is released, and then they’ll be available for $4 USD. The block patterns will be offered as an instant download via our PayHip shop.

What is included in the block patterns?

Each block pattern includes fabric requirements, a cutting chart, and step-by-step piecing instructions with pictures of the “tricky” parts.

How does the Scrappy Rewards program work?

You can earn a free block pattern by submitting the Scrappy Reward form that will be posted with each odd-numbered block, on or before the deadline. (You”ll have ten days after the initial block release to stitch up your block.) Simply snap a picture of your completed block, and share it, then complete and submit the reward form. Here’s an example of the Scrappy Reward form:

Where can I share my block photo to earn the reward block?

You may choose where to share! We’d love to post your pictures in our “Stash-Bustin’ Scrappy Sampler” Gallery, with your permission, using the block photos that you share with us.

How long does it usually take to stitch the sampler blocks?

This will depend upon your experience level. We are both experienced quilters, so on average it took us between 2 and 3 hours to sew one block, starting with fabric selection through pressing the finished block. A beginning quilter will require a little more time, of course.

What if I miss the reward block deadline? Can I still get the pattern?

Sure thing! Each of the block patterns will become available in Ms P’s Pattern Shop as it is released. Pricing will be the same as described above.

How much fabric will I need for the “Stash-Bustin’ Scrappy Sampler” quilt?

If you want to use the same background fabric for all 26 blocks, then you’ll need to have about 2.25 yards of 40″ wide fabric. Pieces for the blocks are no larger than an 18″ x 22″ fat quarter, but most were made from smaller scraps.

What size is the finished quilt top?

The central part of the “Stash-Bustin’ Scrappy Sampler” quilt top finishes at 48″ x 66″. You can adjust the size by omitting blocks, repeating blocks or adding borders.
