Sunshine Sampler Quilt by Ms P Designs USA
Sunshine Sampler, 2022

Susan created this quilt top from a collection of cool blues, and sunny yellows, and isn’t it gorgeous! You can choose your favorite colors, or make it scrappy if you prefer. The “Sunshine Sampler” blocks could be used along with the “Stash-Bustin’ Scrappy Sampler” blocks from our 2021 series, if you wish to combine them into your own fabulous quilt.

FAQ’s

How often will you post a new block pattern?

New block patterns will be posted every two weeks, on Monday morning! The first block release will be announced in January, 2022.

What is the price for each block pattern?

The individual block patterns will be offered at the introductory price of $3 USD for just seven days after the block is released, and then they’ll be available for $4 USD. The block patterns will be offered as an instant download via our PayHip shop.

What is included in the block patterns?

Each block pattern includes a full-color photo of the finished block, fabric requirements, a cutting chart, and step-by-step piecing instructions with pictures of the “tricky” parts.

How long does it usually take to stitch the sampler blocks?

This will depend upon your experience level. We are experienced quilters, so on average it took us between 2 and 3 hours to sew a block, starting with fabric selection through pressing the finished block. A beginning quilter will require a little more time, of course.

How much fabric will I need for the “Sunshine Sampler” quilt?

If you want to use the same background fabric for all 18 blocks, then you’ll need to have about 2.5 yards of 40″ wide fabric. Pieces for the blocks are no larger than an 18″ x 22″ fat quarter, but most can be made from smaller scraps.

What size is the finished quilt top?

The “Sunshine Sampler” is sized to make a throw, finishing at 48″ x 48″. You may adjust the size by omitting blocks, repeating blocks, adding more blocks, or adding borders to enlarge the quilt top.
