Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to Day 1 of our “12 Days of Christmas” series! We hope that you’ll stop by each day to join the fun. Our theme this year is “Our Favorite Things”, and we’re both excited to share 12 days’ worth of inspiration with you.
Sharon here. One of my favorite things is having family and friends over to share a meal, and I enjoy setting a pretty table to make even an everyday meal into a special occasion.
Last year Mr. Fix-It pointed out to me that, while I have a huge pile of table runners for Christmas, I had no Christmas place mats. I accepted his challenge and designed not just one, but TWO sets of coordinating place mats for the holidays.

I used the same background fabric, frames, and binding for all eight place mats, so we can mix and match the two sets to accommodate up to eight guests. Now I’m all set to entertain!
The boxes and ornaments are foundation paper pieced, with applique bows and quick-pieced frames. (I love combining several techniques and using scraps in my designs.)
Have we got a deal for you! Purchase one place mat pattern, and then save 50% on the second place mat pattern through December 12.

We’re SEW glad that you stopped by today, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing my new Christmas place mats. Do you have a favorite meal that you prepare for holiday guests? We’d love to hear about it in the comments!
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan
