Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to Day 5 of our “12 Days of Christmas” series! We hope that you’ll stop by each day to join the fun.
Sharon here. One of my favorite things is to create handmade gifts for friends and loved ones. Here’s a pair of pretty handmade hot pads that I made earlier this year-

I used fabric from my stash, along with scraps of insul-brite and batting to make this set of hot pads. I think that they came out quite nicely, and they’ll make a great gift for someone. You can find the instructions for the star hot pads right here, if you need a last-minute gift idea.
I showed Mom how to make these when I visited her in July, and we made three for her friends in one afternoon using scraps that she had in her sewing room. Aren’t they pretty!

We’re SEW glad that you stopped by today, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing the folded star hot pad set. Do you give hand-made gifts? If so, when do you get started on them? (And when do you finish? I’ve been known to wrap up projects in progress, with a promise to finish them up very soon, LOL.) Leave a comment please; it makes our day!
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan
