Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to the tenth day of our “12 Days of Christmas” series! Can you believe that there are only 15 days left before Christmas? Are your gifts ready?
The closest call I ever had for Christmas gift making was the year that I made a quilt for my husband’s elderly grandmother. My husband and I worked on it together, and it was special just for her with family photos that we printed onto fabric. I finished the binding at 4:30 AM, and we left home at 7:00 AM on Christmas morning for the drive from Texas to Louisiana. Grandma loved the quilt, and Uncle complained that she didn’t even notice any of the wonderful things that anyone else gave her that year.
Are you having a hard time deciding on that one last present? I like receiving gift cards from my favorite shops, and getting exactly what I wanted! 😊
My kids and grandkids want gift cards every year. Somehow handing then a gift card is boring and impersonal. I searched for cute gift card holders online and couldn’t find any that I loved, so I created my own. Here they are!
Don’t forget! A new needlework project is also a wonderful gift. Add one of Ms P’s patterns to a gift card from your local quilt shop for the perfect one-size-fits-all gift!
We’re SEW glad that you stopped by today, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing our gift card stockings. So, are you ready yet? Leave a comment- it makes our day!
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan
