Hi Quilting Friends,
The #RSC2024 color for March is PURPLE (my favorite color)! I have a ton of PURPLE scraps in my PURPLE scrappy bin, so I had plenty of choices for my projects this month.

Rolling Stone Block

Zip Bag
I used several orphan blocks, along with batik scraps from my stash, to create a pretty PURPLE zip bag! I did some matchstick quilting in the center panels, and tight stippling on the outer edges. Ta-da!

Place Mat
I also plan to make a PURPLE place mat with a few more orphan 9-patch blocks that I found in my PURPLE scrap basket, but I’ll post about it later. The front is pieced, but I haven’t been able to decide upon what to use on the back. I’m sure that inspiration is just around the corner. . .
Happy quilting,
Sharon
I’m excited to play with my purple scraps this month. Looks like you got off to a good start on using a few of yours.

These are great scrap projects. Purple is one of my preferred colours, especially when I use it with pink. You are going great guns Sharon.
