Hi Quilting Friends,
The color of the month for September is DARK NEUTRALS (which I assume means black, brown, and dark gray). I’ve decided to stick primarily with black and dark gray scraps, since their scrappy basket is totally overflowing.

Here’s what I’ve been making with my DARK NEUTRAL scraps!
Rolling Stone Block

This will make a nice contrast with the rest of my brightly-colored Rolling Stone blocks!
Zip Bag
I collected a pile of small DARK NEUTRAL scraps to use for my September zip bag, and pieced them together.

Quilting the panels provided additional practice with the FMQ techniques that I’d like to master, and a deep coral zipper addes a pop of color.

Place Mat
I have pulled DARK NEUTRAL scraps for a place mat (or maybe a pair of place mats, we’ll see), and I’m considering my options. Stay tuned!
Happy quilting,
Sharon
You have some great scrappy projects for this month.

Awesome dark neutral scrappy block and zip bag. I bet you are getting a lot of practice with zippers this year! LOL Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.

Thank you! Yes, each zipper gets a bit easier, although I should have paid better attention on this last one because the pull is on the wrong edge of the bag. Still works, but I know that it isn’t quite right. Have a great week!
