Hi Quilting Friends,
Our prompt for Round 2 was “half-square triangles (HST)”, which leaves a LOT of room for design choices.
I decided to add HST squares to complete the corners of the Sawtooth Star that I added last week for Round 1, echoing the corners of the original Fireworks block. I love that this week’s clue fit in with my “evil plan” to extend the blue starburst into the corners of the quilt.
I used the “eight at a time” method to create my HST pieces, which worked out well because I needed a total of 16 squares. Here’s a photo of a corner square, with four HST squares-

I added the corners to the quilt, and here it is! The current size is still 24″ x 24″ (finished).

Now we wait until next Monday, when the challenge for Round 3 is revealed. . .
Happy quilting,
Sharon
The border choices are really working well for you so far! Very pretty!

Love your ‘evil’ plan!!! You will be able to carry it through each round, just making the corners ‘evil’ and the sides can follow the prompts!!
It’s looking great!

Fast, easy and a wonderful design addition. I think you won the SAHRR lottery with this week’s round.
