Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to Act II of the Barnyard Big Top, purported to be “The Greatest Show on Earth”! As you may recall, last week the intrepid piglets were preparing to put on a circus. (If you’ve missed Act I, you may see it HERE.) And so we continue. . .
“Oh, Momma!” the piglets signed, “we have so many more openings in our circus and there aren’t enough of us to perform all the acts!”
Poppy was happy that the piglets had found other things to do, so she suggested that they let the rest of the farm animals participate as well.
Ramsey, the goat, imagined that he could be a balancing artist! Sir Clucks-A-Lot and two field mice, Rosita and Petal joined his crew. Rosita and Petal were very competitive with each other, but the foursome finally came up with the perfect balancing act.

Clarabelle thought that it would be fun to ride a unicycle, so she put on a pretty dress and ride it she did!

Jewel decided that a tight rope with banners was just her speed, so she found a cute little umbrella and walked that tight rope!

Daisy isn’t the brightest sheep in the barnyard, but she decided that being able to fly would be spectacular. She looks a little worried as she awaits her launch from the cannon! Can sheep fly? Guess we’ll find out soon. . .

Ferdinand, our big handsome bull, imagined that being a strong man was just the thing for him! He found a set of dumbbells and was performing the perfect lift until Roosifer joined in the fun.

Then came the ultimate showstopper! Victoria rode Milo into the ring and performed a perfect bareback ride!

Before the show could begin, the piglets needed to put up their colorful tent so that the rest of the barnyard would have the best place to watch the marvelous show!

The Barnyard Big Top was a smashing success! What will the piglets do next? Stay tuned!
If you loved the show as much as I did, imagine what the little ones will think of a quilt with all their favorite animals! The “Barnyard Big Top” quilt pattern is available for purchase from Ms P’s Pattern Shop, if you’d like to create your own quilt.

Such fun and colorful blocks. It would be such a great quilt for a little one (which we have none of in our family currently).
