Hi Quilting Friends,
My “One Monthly Goal” for January was to make the quilt top for Anna’s quilt. Ta-done! This image is overexposed, so the colors aren’t as vibrant as they should be. I will try to get a better photo after quilting is completed.

I chose to use a free 3-yard quilt pattern from “Sew Can She”, with some modifications on the borders. (I just can’t make myself follow someone else’s pattern exactly.) I chose this pattern because the pieces are large, and I wanted to showcase the gorgeous fabrics that Anna loves.

I added a narrow border of navy Kona cotton to frame the central blocks, and then I repeated the same narrow frame between the borders. I like it! The binding will be navy fabric as well
My plan for quilting involves a trip to Susan’s studio, where Rosie (her Gammil quilting machine) will be in charge of quilting. Susan & I usually hang out and supervise Rosie as she stitches away. Anna’s birthday is near the end of March, so I have plenty of time!
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing my project. Do you like it, so far?
Happy quilting,
Sharon
