Hi Quilting Friends,
My “One Monthly Goal” for November was to finish quilting the Diamond Star quilt. Ta-done!

The quilt is quilted with a wavy spiral, with stitching lines at around 0.5 inch spacing. The backing is a beautiful multi-colored floral print. I added a gorgeous purple binding to complement the yellow border and setting triangles.

I am pleased to have this project in the “Finally Finished” category. It will be a gift for a much loved high school graduate, come May, 2024. I began sewing the blocks back in 2019, when the sweet girl started high school, and I made gradual progress each year. (Yay me, for finishing way ahead of schedule!) The quilt still needs a label, and I want to launder it so it’s soft and cozy, but there’s plenty of time between today and end of May.

The choice of a vibrant multi-colored floral print for the backing and the complementing purple binding showcase your excellent eye for design. A thoughtful gift for the high school graduate!
