Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to the “On the Road Again” challenge, hosted by our friend Carol from “Just Let Me Quilt”! We’re excited to see how everyone interpreted this month’s challenge.
“Make a project that shows travel vehicles of any kind. Planes, trains, automobiles, bikes, trucks, tractors, or whatever gets us from one place to another. Use your creative imagination to show us ways to travel.”
Sharon here today. When I saw this challenge I got all excited about sharing my love of designing and stitching foundation paper pieced vehicles. I designed my first vehicle patterns back in 2015 for our “Down Under” quilt, and here they are!

Since then I’ve added to the vehicle fleet, a LOT. Here are our “Top Five” best-selling vehicle designs-
The Viking longship (a.k.a. dragonboat) is my favorite design. I enjoyed learning more about the Vikings and how their ships were constructed to be lightweight, efficient, and sea-worthy.

When I asked her, Susan couldn’t choose only one favorite vehicle, because she loves “My Hero- Firefighters”. This design features FPP firetrucks and applique firefighters. Such fun!
We love seeing how our customers use the designs that we create in their projects. Have a peek in our customer quilt gallery, where you’ll see several adorable vehicle quilts, all made by our customers!
I’ve had my creative juices working overtime recently, with a few additions to our fleet of FPP vehicle designs, and I’m excited to introduce them to you today!
Bucket Truck
Use this hard-working bucket truck whenever the job takes you way up in the air! Hop into the bucket and let the boom lift you safely while you complete the task at hand. Finished size is 7″ by 7″.
Service Van
Got pests? Call pest control services and they’ll take care of the bugs! The service van lends itself to any type of service call that you can dream up; just change the company logo and you’re in business. Finished size is 7″ by 7″.
SUV
You’ll really go places in this sporty SUV! With room for passengers and luggage or supplies for your next DIY project, the SUV is both versatile and comfortable. Finished size is 7″ by 7″.
Tanker Truck
Got milk? The tanker truck is on the job, ready to haul several thousand gallons of milk from the dairy to the processing facility. The tanker truck could haul oil products instead; add that company logo and you’re ready to roll on down the highway. Finished size is 7″ by 10.5″.
If you’re interested in purchasing any of the new vehicle block patterns, just click on the images above. You can find the patterns for ALL of the FPP vehicle designs from today’s post (and many, many more) in Ms P’s Pattern Shop. Check it out!
Thanks SO much for stopping by today! We hope that you’ve enjoyed the vehicle show. Do you have a favorite, or perhaps a suggestion for another design to add to our fleet? Drop a comment and make our day!
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan

Ta-Done! My “One Monthly Goal” for May was to finish up the four new FPP vehicle designs. However, my life has been crazy, and I failed to link up on time with the May goal-setting post. Oops! I guess that it was a private goal this time.
