Hi Quilting Friends,
I’ve decided to work on using up some of my Christmas fabric scraps during November and December. I have an overflowing bin of Christmas fabric pieces, all ready to create!

My plan is to make another “Bricks and Stepping Stones” scrappy quilt. I made this one with the “bricks” in reds and the “stepping stones” in black and white as a gift for my neighbor’s 70th birthday.

This time I’m using both reds and greens for the “bricks”, with black and white “stepping stones”. The blocks go together very quickly, and I have enough blocks stitched now to make my quilt. Here are a few blocks, ready to make the quilt top-

Next stop is the design wall, where I shall play until I am happy with the distribution and balance of the fabrics. I hope to have the top ready for quilting by the end of this month.
Happy quilting,
Sharon

That will be fun in Christmas scraps, Sharon! I really like that pattern.

Have fun playing with the blocks on the design wall. That step always seems to trip me up.

Thanks! I’m going to take my time on this step. It usually gets to the point when each change causes a need for two or three more changes, and that’s how I know that it’s time to stop playing with it. 🙄
