Hi Quilting Friends,
Since we don’t have a color of the month for November or December, and I haven’t made enough rainbow Rolling Stone blocks yet for my quilt-to-be, I’ve opted to use up some of my Christmas fabric scraps to make a cozy quilt.

The quilt top was finished by the end of November, and I’ve just completed the quilting and binding. I used a wavy quilting stitch in pale gray thread, with approximately 1″ spacing between the vertical lines, and I really like the texture. I added black sparkly star fabric to make the binding since it frames the quilt so nicely. The binding is all stitched down, thanks to me doing handwork while watching TV with Mr. Fix-It.

I apparently can’t take a quilt photo without my “new” photobomber, so here’s Astrid atop the new quilt!

Now I have a few weeks to decide upon a block to use for my 2025 RSC stitching. Time to drag out the scraps again, and make a sample block or two! Thank you, Angela, for hosting and organizing RSC 2024. I have enjoyed participating!
Happy quilting,
Sharon
