Hi Quilting Friends,

The RSC color for January is bright PINK, so I scoured my PINK scrappy basket for fabrics.

This year I plan to continue making “Rolling Stone” blocks, and here’s the PINK block for 2025-.

In addition, I plan to make at least one “Pinwheel Star” block each month. Here’s my “practice” block in my favorite color, PURPLE. My plan is to use the same white and black prints (from my stash), along with the RSC color for each month. I might throw in an extra block now and then to ensure that I have enough blocks for my quilt by the end of the year.

And here’s a PINK one too!

I have also decided to make a FPP coffee mug each month, using this Ms P’s pattern that I designed in 2021. I’ll use yardage from my stash for the backgrounds, and something from my scrap bins to make the coffee mug in the appropriate color of the month. The appliqued hearts will all be made from the same black floral print, and I’ll add the embroidered steam curls when the blocks are transformed into a quilt.
