Hi Quilting Friends,
The Rainbow Scrap Challenge theme for June is pastels. I shared my set of 20 Signature Squares HERE last week. Now it’s time for another cup of coffee. ☕
Coffee Mug
I found this dainty print in my yellow scrap bin, and decided that it would make the perfect cup of coffee. What do you think?

Zipper Bag
I’ve started making a bag for my sweet daughter-in-law from this kit. It will be a gift from me for her July birthday.

My current plan is to use scraps from the kit to make a pastel zipper bag. I have cut the pieces for the kit, and it appears that my plan is feasible.
I know better than to start using the scraps until I’m sure that the main project won’t need them, so I’m waiting to start the zipper bag. Stay tuned for updates.
The rainstorms that we had last week have stopped, but the humidity and a fresh crop of mosquitoes limit outdoor time and increase time inside. Too bad I don’t have anything to sew. 🙄
Happy quilting,
Sharon

That is definitely an adorable cup, Sharon. I know your DIL will LOVE that bag. It is so cute. Looking forward to seeing the zipper bag too! Those pesky mosquitoes! We call them the Alabama State Bird! LOL Have a great weekend.

Thank you! I’m lucky that the mosquitoes leave me alone if anyone else is available. I’m just not that delicious, LOL. 😁

Very pretty cup! I don’t count something as scraps until the project is finished. Safer that way!

Thank you! Same here with “scraps”. I have accidentally used up fabrics that I still needed for a project, so now I keep it all together until I am finished (even if it takes a long time).
