Hi Quilting Friends,
My “One Monthly Goal” for June was to quilt the Christmas place mats that I finished piecing in May.

I spent a lovely Friday afternoon with Susan and Rosie (the Gammill quilting machine), for another quilting lesson. I chose a pretty holly and ribbon design, quilted with cream-colored thread. We had a few hiccups along the way, but Rosie came through like a champ in the end.
Lesson learned: When Rosie says that she needs a software update, it is best to take a break and let her take care of business. If you don’t, you will live to regret your choices.
Ta-Done! And the binding is finished as well. I chose a pretty green holly print with gold accents, also from my extensive private textile collection. Close-up image so you can see the quilting & binding-

Happy quilting,

These placemats are adorable, Sharon!! I agree with you on the longarm! They seem to have a mind of their own sometimes!
