Hi Quilting Friends,
Project #1: Make the “Southwest Critters” Quilt

I have finished four of the thirteen animal blocks, and they are SEW adorable! No photos yet; since this is a new pattern design, wait until the quilt is almost finished to share pictures. Nothing like keeping everyone else in suspense. . .
Project #5: Stitch four foundation pieced vehicles
Done! This was my January “One Monthly Goal” project, and I’ve added most of them to Ms P’s Pattern Shop. (The conestoga wagon will be available soon!)
Project #10: Colorful fabric baskets from scraps
I’ve finished my AQUA basket! As you can probably tell, I’ve found a use for some of my orphan blocks that were just hanging around. It took one evening to sort and organize all of the scraps, and then an afternoon to piece the AQUA “fabric” and make the AQUA basket. What fun!
Project #11: Colorful fabric baskets from scraps
OK. So I’m addicted to making these scrappy baskets. I confess that I’ve also finished my BLUE scrappy basket. It took hours to sort through all of the BLUE scraps and get them cut into useable sizes and organized, as I have done with the preceeding colors. Whew! I have a boatload of BLUE fabric on hand, so I see a BLUE scrappy quilt in my future!
New Projects
I created the Scrappy Hearts Place mats for the “Hearts on Fire” blog hop. The pattern is available in Ms P’s Pattern Shop.
I’ve also stitched something up for the “Show Your Stripes” blog hop, coming in February. We’ll wait until after the hop to see the picture, since I want it to be a surprise.
Here’s my task list spreadsheet for 2021:

And my UFO list for 2021:

Happy quilting,
Sharon
You are doing great on your UFO list!! Mine is just in pieces…nothing I can really count right now. I think I need to add some steps for each UFO, so I can at least see some progress each month! I like to see that highlight going across the spreadsheet!! LOL

Thank you! The spreadsheet with steps is like a list that you can cross off, multiple times. So you can see progress even if you don’t have a finish, yet. :o)

Thanks Gail! I’m on a roll with the scrappy baskets. Most of the remaining projects are more involved, so we’ll see what happens next month. 😊

You’re really on a roll! Your scrappy baskets look great and that was a good idea to add the UFO blocks. Adorable paper-pieced vehicles – love the firetruck! See you next month!
