Hi Quilting Friends,
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Today we’re sharing a quick and fun project to make for Valentine’s Day giving!

These cute little applique blocks are sized just-right for coasters! You probably already have the materials on hand that you’d need to stitch up a set for that special someone. Make one of each design, or choose your favorite(s).
The patterns for the little bitty appliques are available from Ms P’s Pattern Shop!
If you’re not into making coasters, perhaps a beautiful fabric greeting card or postcard would suit your fancy.
Simply cut the background fabric to make a 4″ x 6″ rectangle, create your applique, and then add some heavy fusible interfacing plus cardstock for the backing. Stitch around the edges, and you have a pretty fabric postcard to send! This one took about 40 minutes to create, including time to select fabric from my stash. Add a stamp, write the address, and pop it into the mailbox! This one is on its way to someone special; won’t they be surprised!
There are a TON of tutorials out there for handmade fabric postcards; here’s one that we liked!

If you’re short on time, a gift card from a favorite quilt shop is always appreciated!

Thank you for stopping by today! We hope that you’ll have the sweetest Valentine’s Day ever.
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan
Cute little blocks, especially the two bears. I laughed at the funny at the bottom.
