February RSC 2023

Hi Quilting Friends,

The RSC 2023 color for February is PINK! I happen to have a few more PINK scraps hanging around in my PINK scrappy basket, so I’m joining in on the fun again this month.

Rolling Stone

Here’s my pretty PINK Rolling Stone block-

Carolina Chain

I won’t be adding more PINK Carolina Chain blocks to my collection; I have quite a few PINK blocks that I stitched for RSC2022, and I don’t have many PINK scraps right now. In lieu of adding blocks this month, I’ve started stitching my small Carolina Chains into larger blocks with 2 light and 2 dark squares each. Here’s my first group of 12 larger blocks-

They’re laid out to show how they’ll look in the quilt top, but I’m waiting to make rows until I have ALL of the blocks finished so I can balance the colors. I (mostly) like how the chains look, and I’m excited to continue making progress on this project.
