Hi Quilting Friends,
The “Rainbow Scrap Challenge” color for April is PURPLE! (My favorite color.) Did I end up stitching more purple blocks this month? Not so much. That’s OK though; I’ve made two cute little bags with some of my PURPLE scraps. The bags are my project for the April “One Gift a Month” challenge, hosted by “Days Filled With Joy”.

Carolina Chain
I have PLENTY of purple Carolina Chain block sections from 2022, so I opted instead to stitch more of the completed blocks together this month and here they are, along with the blocks that I stitched together in February-

I like how the chains look so far! I’ll spend some time balancing the color placement before I proceed to the next step, once I have enough blocks stitched together.
Rolling Stone

I made this pretty Rolling Stone block earlier this year, when I was choosing a project for RSC 2023, so I’ve decided to opt out of sewing another one this month in the interest of having the same number of blocks in each of the RSC colors.
Happy quilting,
Sharon

What a great block. I also love the ideas of the small bags. Hum, somewhere I have directions for a cute little bag that looks similar. I wonder where I put it?
