Hi Quilting Friends,
The color of the month for April is YELLOW. It isn’t my favorite color, but YELLOW does bring some sparkle to the other colors. I dug into my YELLOW scrap bin and my orphan block drawer and found some YELLOW scraps to play with.

Rolling Stone Block

Zip Bag

The zip bag started out as a leftover pieced panel from a quilted vest that I created MANY years ago. It was too pretty to discard, and just the right size for a brightly-colored zip bag. I had to do a bit of tearing out and re-stitching the squares after I decided upon a size, since my panel wasn’t a rectangle. I like the combination of YELLOW, purple, and bright pink.
I did a FMQ “Circuitboard” design with bright YELLOW thread, and added a bright pink zipper and YELLOW lining. (I found the “Circuitboard” tutorial HERE . The more I practice, the better my FMQ looks.)
Happy quilting,
Sharon

Very cute bag. Yellow is such a fun accent color to pair with purple and blue. Wishing you good progress on using up your yellow scraps this month.
