Hi Quilting Friends,
My “One Monthly Goal” for April was to finish the quilting and binding on this little quilt for Katniss, our indoor/outdoor cat. Ta-done!
I used several orphan blocks to create the center of the quilt, and then added a purple batik border. I quilted a “Circuitboard” FMQ design with matching purple thread. This was my first attempt at this design, so my matching thread doesn’t show the bobbles that inevitably happen on the first try at a new FMQ pattern. The border is straight-line quilted, and the binding matches the border.
I keep the quilt on the chair where Katniss takes her weekend naps. It will be easier to clean the cat hair from the quilt than it is to clean the chair seat, LOL. Here’s a shot of Katniss, enjoying her new quilt! Doesn’t she look happy and relaxed!
I’ll link up with the April “One Monthly Goal” finish post when it becomes available later this month.
Happy quilting,
Sharon
