Hi Quilting Friends,
The Rainbow Scrap Challenge theme for June is pastels. I shared my set of 20 Signature Squares HERE, and my pretty pastel coffee mug HERE.
Zipper Bag

The small pastel zipper bag is made from leftovers of the fabrics that were included in the kit that I stitched for Gaby’s July birthday. I waited to start the zipper bag until I was certain that these pieces are really scraps. 🙄. I finished Gaby’s tote bag on Sunday, so this week I made the coordinating zipper bag. The size is perfect for tucking inside the tote bag, and I think that it is SEW adorable.

I decided to piece the little bag panels to match the larger tote bag, and then I quilted it with the same pattern as its larger counterpart. This process was much faster than making the tote bag, because it was smaller and I had already practiced. This finish brings my total to 10 zipper bags for the year.
We’re having quite a lot of rainy days this week, so that means lots of time for sewing and watching soccer football matches. We take advantage of breaks in the weather to walk our dogs, because nobody likes to go outside to potty in the rain. 🌧 (I can’t argue with their feelings about this; I would probably feel the same way.)
The plumeria are thriving in the warm, wet weather. This plant has three branches in bloom at the moment. Wow!! (The mosquitoes are thriving as well, but we’re not celebrating with them.)

We’re heading to San Antonio tomorrow to celebrate Father’s Day with Gaby’s family. Rumor has it that Tom is cooking a goat for lunch, so that should be interesting. Have you ever had a goat for lunch? I have not, so I’ll report back later.
That’s all for today! I hope that you’re having a great week. Thanks for stopping by to see my project.
Happy quilting,
Sharon
These both turned out great, Sharon!! I know your DIL will LOVE them. I think this is such a thoughtful birthday gift. Hmmm, I’ve never eaten goat, but I hear it’s tasty. I look forward to your review. Stay safe in this crazy weather we’re having. What you guys get always comes our way.

Thank you! We’re currently “enjoying” some really hot and humid weather, but at least the heavier rains are gone for now. Have a nice weekend!
