Hello to our elephant fans and quilting friends!
September starts us out with Labor Day, the very next Sunday is Grandparents Day, on the 11th is Patriot Day and Autumn officially begins on September 23rd!
September was also a month of harvest, when I was a kid growing up on the farm. Our Dad and Uncle would work very hard to bring in the wheat and would grind up the corn with other additives to make silage that was put in an open pit to ferment. The sweet smell of the silage and a great pile of the stuff made it any kid’s dream to play in it like you would play in the snow!
We also had wonderful gardens and September is when we would dig the potatoes and carrots to put in the root cellar. We would also harvest other crops from the garden to preserve for winter. Our elephant has had a very productive crop!

With fall leaves in the air, the pumpkins are ready to carve for Halloween and it looks like our farmer will have plenty in storage for winter!
You may purchase this bountiful harvest pattern for just $3.50 USD! Click the button below to visit our PayHip store for checkout.
