Oh Shoot!, Volume 5

Hi Quilting Friends,

I’m back again with my “best” photos from September and October.   I haven’t been out with my camera quite as often as I would have liked; it has been really hot outside and school has kept me pretty busy.

This first group of pictures was taken on a Sunday afternoon at the park.  Rowdy enjoyed playing ball and taking a nice walk.  AND we had a little company on the walk too!

This group of pictures was taken during a weekend visit to see our younger son (and his dog and his girlfriend) in San Antonio! Naomi (my grand-dogger) didn’t get to go along with us on our Sunday morning outing, so she’s not in the photo.

We visited the Pearl Farmer’s Market, which is located east of downtown San Antonio, near the San Antonio Zoo. The developers started with the old Pearl Brewery property, and have added a nice hotel, apartment buildings, green spaces, and shops. We enjoyed strolling around while we sipped a morning coffee. I love the architectural features of the old building! The hotel design utilizes some of the equipment and artifacts from the old brewery in their lobby decor.

A visit to San Antonio isn’t complete until we’ve seen the Riverwalk! This section was new to us, but the ducks seemed strangely familiar. . . They may or may not have recognized us from our previous visit.

Now that the weather is cooling off a bit, I may have more interest in getting back outdoors to practice my photography skills.  We shall see. . .

Until next time,

Sharon
