Hi Quilting Friends,
Here’s what I’ve been stitching since my last update. I’ve returned to work now, so my sewing time will be reduced significantly. I’ll be busy getting my courses set up for remote learning, which will be something new for all of us. Students return after Labor Day, if they’ve opted for face to face school, and I’m excited to meet them.
Project #7: Make a wall hanging from one of these patterns
Just a little progress this time. I’ve ironed the applique pieces together, ready to fuse onto the background fabric (when I find it). I haven’t looked very hard, yet. Here’s a picture, sans background, along with the fabrics that I’ll use for the borders.
I’ve finished up our model and pattern for this year’s “It’s A Garden Party Row Along”, which begins in September. Here’s the Row Along logo instead of a photo of my “secret sewing”. Our free project pattern will be posted here, starting on September 17, and you’re invited to join the fun!
I’ve also finished up our new “Flower Medallion” wall hanging model and the pattern to go with it. Here’s a picture of part of the quilt. Just a little peek today, since I like to be secretive with new designs.
I’ve been sewing roadway borders again, in preparation for our new “My Hero” quilt that features firefighters and their vehicles. There will be a pattern, eventually.
Quilting is complete on two of the three scrappy Christmas quilts that I made during July, and I’ve selected fabric for the bindings. This is my OMG for August, so they will be done by the end of this month.
Here’s my updated spreadsheet for 2020. Mid-August is identical to End of July, and End of August will probaby look just like this spreadsheet, but most of my cells are in color now:
