12 Days of Christmas – Day 2

Hi Quilting Friends,

Welcome back! I’d like to thank Sharon for sharing a yummy recipe yesterday!

Since we’re on the topic of cookies, who makes the best cookies ever? Why, Mrs. Claus, of course! She has to keep Santa and all of the elves in top form so they can make this Christmas the best one ever!

With Mrs. Claus in mind, I thought it would be fun to make potholders (which will help getting all of your Christmas goodies out of the oven) featuring Mrs. Claus and Santa. Here are my new potholders:

Giveaway time! Congratulations to Mary A, winner of our pattern giveaway!

If you are looking for a quick project for someone special, these fun applique hot pads are a perfect choice! The Santa and Mrs. Claus patterns are available to purchase right here!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my first project for Christmas 2020!

Happy quilting,

Susan

  3. Our favorite Christmas cookie is a no bake cookie made with graham crackers and sweetened condensed milk, chopped dated, nuts, and chocolate chips. They are rolled into a ball and then rolled in coconut. Refrigerate.

  4. My favorite Christmas cookie we call “Lady Locks’. They’re a puff pastry, rolled around a clothespin (or something similar) and then filled with a creme filling. If I make them from scratch (including the puff pastry) it takes me 2 days to have them finished.
While I’m commenting, I also wanted to say that I appreciate all the freebies you put out during the year!! I love them, and look forward to finding them on your site. Your creativity and generosity are truly appreciated!! Thanks so much!! Merry Christmas!!

  5. My favorite Christmas cookie is one my MIL makes. She calls them Clouds. Made with egg whites, a fluffy puff of a cloud with or without a mini chocholate chip or mint piece.
