12 Days of Christmas – Day 9

Hi Quilting Friends,

Welcome back to Day 9 of our “12 Days of Christmas” blog series!

I love to decorate for Christmas, and I enjoy setting a pretty table for my guests. Today we’re going to take a look at some lovely Christmas table runners that might be just the thing for your holiday table. If you see something that you’d like to make, all of the patterns are available in Ms P’s Pattern Shop!

First, our new “Endless Chain” runner! I made this colorful traditional pieced runner for my son’s table, using a combination of fabrics from Moda and Northcott. I think that it will be gorgeous on his dark wood dining table, and I’m sure that he will love it! (Shhh! Don’t tell him; it is a surprise!)

Susan made this elegant pieced holiday runner with our “Easy Festive Runner” pattern. The silver and cranberry fabrics are sparkly and beautiful, perfect for the dining table for a cozy Christmas Eve dinner.

I made this pretty holiday version of our “Goose Trails” table runner, just for fun. It is currently residing with my son in San Antonio, because he “needed” some Christmas decorations for his new home.

This fun runner features pieced churn dash blocks and an appliqued border with holly leaves and bright red button “berries”. Wouldn’t it be cute for a Christmas tea party with a few friends?

The “Welcome to My House” table runner has a Victorian house at each end and a pieced center. This runner was a Christmas gift for our Mom a couple of years ago. She uses it on her dining table with a pretty centerpiece for Christmas dinner.

If you prefer place mats, the “Pieced Hearts” place mats add a heart-felt touch to any table. Your Christmas brunch would look so cheery with a set of place mats like this!

Giveaway time! Congratulations to Susan L, winner of the giveaway. Susan chose the “Churn Dash” table runner pattern as her prize!

Happy quilting,

Sharon
