Hi Quilting Friends,
My goal for March was to quilt and bind my scrappy Christmas quilt, pieced in 2020, shown in the center of the photo below:

The pattern for this quilt is “Oklahoma Backroads”, from Bonnie Hunter. I pieced this top last summer, using scraps from my overflowing Christmas fabric bin and yardage from my extensive private textile collection. The quilt is stitched with red, green, and white Sulky variegated thread, and I used spiral quilting with my walking foot for the central part of the quilt. I love the texture! This was my first attempt at spiral quilting, and I will probably use the technique again to change things up from my usual straight-line walking foot quilting.
Here’s my completed quilt, and a close-up of the quilting:
I haven’t decided where this lovely quilt will “live” yet, but I sure had fun making it!
Happy quilting,
Sharon
You are my hero! I love the spiral quilting. I want to try it but am afraid of the center start point. Your’s is beautiful.

Thank you! I was a little intimidated with trying a new technique, but it was easier than I had anticipated and I’m very pleased with how it came out for me.
