Hi Quilting Friends,
Don’t you love to play with fabric? We sure do. Susan recently stitched another “For You, With Love” quilt, just because she loves to play with fabric. Keep on reading to see what Susan made this time!
For You, With Love – 1.0
Sharon & Susan created this special quilt for our Mom’s 80th birthday a couple of years ago. Susan chose fabrics in Mom’s favorite colors, we worked together to cut out the pieces, and then we each stitched some of the blocks for the quilt . It was really fun to choose meaningful blocks, to spend time working together, and to surprise Mom on her birthday with this pretty quilt that was made “For Mom, With Love”. You can read more about the quilt on our blog post, HERE.
For You, With Love – 2.0
Susan chose a gorgeous pallette of purple and white fabrics during a excursion to a quilt shop while we were visiting our (favorite!) Aunt Jessie in Montana. Susan decided to make another version of “For You, With Love”, but she’s named this quilt “For Me, With Love” because she’s planning to keep it for herself. (Can’t say that I blame her – this is a beautiful quilt!)
Take a few minutes to compare the new blocks with the original blocks. Susan used the same designs, stitched in different fabrics. What a difference the fabric selection makes!
