Ghastly Ghouls

Hi Quilting Friends,

Welcome to the “Ghastly Ghouls” blog hop, hosted by our quilting friend Carol at “Just Let Me Quilt”. We’re looking forward to some thrills and chills as we hop around to see creepy, spooky, eerie, and weird quilts, created just for Halloween!

Here’s our favorite “Halloween carol”, to set the mood!

Halloween is such fun, and what better way to celebrate than with a colorful quilt for snuggling up with your favorite monster, or decorating your lair (or the laboratory) for a rockin’ Halloween party with your creepy friends! Here are some of the projects that we’ve created over the years:

  • Wonky Halloween Sampler by Ms P Designs USA
  • Halloween Pumpkin Place Mats by Ms P Designs USA
  • Halloween Cat Coaster Set by Ms P Designs USA
  • Halloween Quilt 2019 "Something Spooky This Way Comes" by Ms P Designs USA

  • Halloween 2017 Quilt pattern by Ms P Designs USA
  • Superhero Hyena Hot Pad by Ms P Designs USA

  • Wonky Star Place Mats by Ms P Designs USA

Susan designed and stitched these adorable place mats for today’s blog hop project. The Halloween kitties are not too sure about the creepy, but cute, spiders that are lurking nearby. Are they friends or foes? Time will tell, but right now they seem very suspicious!

The kitties and spiders are appliqued to a fun spiderweb print for a spooky, creepy look. Susan used four of her favorite Halloween words to enhance the place mats, and used a film strip border to frame the appliqued kitties. Such fun!

But wait! Susan didn’t stop with only a set of scary place mats. She also made these sneaky pillows with more spooky cats and creepy spiders!

If you’d like to make your own scary place mat set, a pair of sneaky pillows, or a spooky project of your choice, you can find all of our creepy seasonal patterns in Ms P’s Halloween Shop!

  4. Wonderfully Halloweeny patterns! My go to is 3 Musketeers, but one of my sons likes the Snickers. Have you tried the Fruit Cereal Kit Kats? Really tastes like those colored rings!

  5. Oh my goodness, those kitties are just the cutest. They can get into all sorts of mischief. I love them in pillowcases! I’m a Tootsie Roll girl. Yes, I did steal them from my kids Halloween bags for years😂. I may need a Tootsie Roll anonymous meeting yet!
