Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to our “12 Days of Christmas” blog series! We’re glad you’ve joined us for Day 2.
Today is about traditions. We LOVE to attend “The Nutcracker” during the holidays. The costumes! The dancing! The MUSIC!! Enjoy the music for a while.
Susan got to thinking one day- What would it be like if the animals were to perform “The Nutcracker”? Here’s what she came up with!

Here are a few of the cast members, in costume and ready to perform:

The patterns for the “Nutcracker Ballet” series are availble in Ms P’s Christmas Shop!
Update: Congratulations to Susan L, winner of the “Christmas Ornaments” pattern! Enjoy!!
We’re having a giveaway today! Please enter for your chance to win the “Christmas Ornaments” PDF pattern. Entries will be open until December 4, and the winner will be notified by December 6.
Thanks again for visiting! Please plan to stop by again tomorrow for more holiday fun.
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan

Such adorable blocks! My favorite Christmas tradition is probably doing Christmas stockings. Even though my kids are all grown, with kids of their own, I still like to do them.

Thanks Susan! I’m usually stumped about what to put into the stockings, now that the kids are grown. A new toothbrush and some candy seems silly, but that’s what they get, LOL.

these animals are so adorable. thanks for sharing. one of our best Christmas traditions was, from the time our first born was two (will be 3 Jan 8) and a new born (Nov 24), we started seeing the Children’s Nutcracker down town Elgin in the Arts Center. We saw it every December until both kids moved out on their own. We only missed one year when all four of us had the flu. And it lasted for a few weeks. I think we kept giving it to each other over and over again But we were able to watch the adult version of the Nutcracker on TV

What fun! I love playing games and doing jigsaw puzzles, so that’s one of my family traditions even now that the kids are grown.

My favorite tradition is making Saffron buns. My Grandma use to make them every Christmas. She taught me how to make them. Also she use to make popcorn balls for the whole family.
