12 Days of Christmas – 11

Hi Quilting Friends,

Welcome to our “12 Days of Christmas” blog series! We’re glad you’ve joined us.

Imagine this:

Your son, who lives out of town, calls you up on December 21 with the exciting news that he’s coming home for Christmas this year. This is a wonderful surprise, as you hadn’t expected to see him during the holidays. Not only this, but he’s bringing along “someone special” that he wants you to meet, and they’ll be here on Christmas Eve!

You’ve been down this road before with your son. This is the fourth “someone special” that you’ve met over the past six years, so you’re not completely convinced that she is “the one“, but you want to be gracious and help her feel welcomed in your home.

The rest of the family has personalized Christmas stockings, lovingly handmade by you, that hang on the mantle during the holidays. What will you do, with just 3 days and a myriad of other tasks on your “To-Do” list, to create a special stocking for this young woman who may (or may not) be “THE ONE”?

Enter “Ms P’s Pieced Christmas Stocking”!

Pieced Christmas Stocking by Ms P Designs USA

This easy pieced stocking can be made from fabrics that you (probably, if you’re anything like us!) already have in your stash. It goes together quickly with just a few hours of easy machine piecing and very little handwork, and it looks like you’ve spent a LOT of time. This can be your Christmas gift to the one (?). She will absolutely love it!

UPDATE: Congratulations to Ruth C, winner of the Christmas stocking pattern!

Is this scenario in your near future? We’ve got ya covered with our giveaway, for the “Pieced Christmas Stocking” PDF pattern. Entries will be accepted until December 13, and the winner will be notified by December 15. Good luck!

Thanks again for visiting! Please plan to stop by again tomorrow for more holiday fun.

Happy quilting,

Sharon & Susan

  1. Love your stocking! I’m sure anyone’s son’s “someone special” would love it too! If it’s really last minute, I would have to pull something from my made items pile.
