I have wanted to make this Polar Bear and Yeti block since the first time I saw Susan’s drawing, and now’s my chance! Here’s the original “Yeti Pal” block, from Susan’s “Polar Pals” quilt:

And here’s the same precious pair of pals, featured on my new mug rug:

I really enjoyed stitching up my Yeti pal block, and I love the finished project! I had all of the fabric in my scrap bins and stash, so that’s a win! I’ve used dark gray thread for the blanket stitches and embroidered details to provide a soft look.

  6. Adorable block! I like staying inside when it’s cold while drinking a hot cup of coffee. In fact, it’s my daily routine right now after I get back from taking the children to the bus stop each morning. Thanks for sharing!

  20. I love the Yetti with the Polar Bear. We have a local Yetti (Somerville MA) that appears with the storms, as we had yesterday. Sorry to be late to the blog, but storm prep and work caused me to be a little late to my blog commenting.
