October #RSC2022 Stitching

Hi Quilting Friends,

The October #RSC2022 color of the month is LIME GREEN, so I pulled out my scrappy LIME GREEN basket and dug deep to find some scraps to use for my blocks this month. I was able to find some pretty scraps to use!

Sawtooth Star

I have a total of twenty Sawtooth Star blocks now, which is enough to make a quilt. I’m almost sure about my quilt layout at this point, so I can begin to put together the sashing and cornerstone squares that I’ll need. That task should keep me busy during November and December!

Carolina Chain

I found enough scraps to make 10 LIME GREEN Carolina Chain blocks, which brings my total for the year to 221 blocks. I need 310 blocks for the quilt that I want to make, so I’ll keep on stitching them. I have some neutral scraps that I can work with during November and December; perhaps my brown and gray scraps will be enough to reach the total that I need.
