Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to the “Music” blog hop, hosted by our friend Carla at “Creatin’ in the Sticks”! We’re excited to see (and hear?) about all of the music-themed projects this month. Our challenge was to create and share a project that is related to music.
Sharon here!
I have always enjoyed music, and I’m not all that particular about the genre, except for rap. I enjoy listening to music, as well as making music. I play the piano, and I sing in the car and in the shower (where the acoustics are the best, LOL), and occasionally in my classroom (sing-alongs between classes with the students is a favorite Friday activity).
I love this song. Andrea Bocelli has a voice like an angel, and his vocal range is amazing! Enjoy!
Speaking of angels, Susan designed and stitched these adorable angel gift card holders. Aren’t they fun! Can’t you just imagine a chorus of angels, singing songs to celebrate Christmas?

The little stockings are made with scraps of felt and plenty of sequins and beads to make them sparkle. The applique is simple, without too many pieces, so the gift card holders go together quickly. Wouldn’t it be fun to make a set for Christmas giving!
The patterns for the angel gift card stockings (and the rest of our adorable designs) are available in Ms P’s Pattern Shop, if you’d like to try your hand at some easy felt applique.
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Don’t forget to visit the rest of today’s participating bloggers- just follow the links from the list below.
Do you have a favorite song, or a favorite genre of music? Leave a comment; it will make our day!
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan

Those gift card holders are cute! And the acoustics in the bathroom are awesome. Reminds me of a song my kids showed me on youtube a few years ago called “The acoustics in the bathroom” lol. You can find anything on You Tube.

Those stockings are really pretty and are a gift in themselves. Favorite song or music? Probably 1960’s genre or era.

Thanks Danice! I also enjoy 1960’s music; so much variety of style during that decade.

The best voices are indeed angelic! If anyone wants to hear a modern-day angel sing, check out Dimash Kudaibergen on You Tube. He actually sang, for a brief moment, with Bocelli backstage at a musical event. Adorable stockings!

Oh my, those angel stockings are so pretty! I love all the sequins and sparkles. My grandmother made little stockings like these years ago, but they were never that beautiful. The music of Bocelli is always so amazing. Thanks for sharing your musical pretties!
