January RSC 2023

Hi Quilting Friends,

I’m excited to participate in the 2023 Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC), hosted by Angela.

The Rainbow Scrap Challenge is lots of fun! You will make the most of your scrap stockpile, create beautiful quilts, and find inspiration from others who are participating too. Here are the projects that I’ve made for RSC in 2021 and 2022-

  • Sawtooth Star Quilt by Sharon @ Ms P Designs USA
  • Carolina Chain Blocks 2022 by Sharon @ Ms P Designs USA

January’s color of the month is blue, specifically dark blue and bright blue! I just happen to have a scrappy basket filled with blue scraps-

Carolina Chain

I made a total of 4 Carolina Chain blocks, 2 light and 2 dark. I already have a good number of blue blocks, so I didn’t overdo it this month.

Rolling Stone

Here’s my “Rolling Stone” block for January!

Happy quilting,

  1. I really like your rolling stone block. I’m going to start the Rainbow Scrap Challenge with the Wedding Ring block i found on Kathleen’s blog. I might try out the rolling stone block as well. I really like it.

    1. Thanks Lynn! It took me a while to decide upon which block to stitch for RSC this year, and I’m happy with my choice of Rolling Stone. I look forward to seeing your blocks too! Happy quilting, Sharon
