The Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for July is AQUA. My AQUA scrap basket still has a LOT of scraps waiting to be used. Last week I shared my pretty AQUA zipper bag (read more HERE).
Signature Squares
I just love AQUA! It is a friendly color that blends SO nicely with almost every other color, and I have an extensive scrap collection available to use. Here are my 20 AQUA squares for July-
This makes a total of 144 squares like this, but I’m not finished yet. I’ll wait a while to play with designs.
In other news, our neighborhood Independence Day parade was a fun opportunity to see the neighbors and celebrate the 250th year since the USA was born. Astrid and I got to see Ryan and his growing family, and Ryan’s mom (Sue) took a picture of us together.
Ryan was Ian’s first new friend when we moved into this house back in 1994, and a member of the Cub Scout den that I helped as a leader for many years. His parents still live around the corner, so I enjoy seeing him every now and then.
I hope that you’re having a nice weekend. We’re expecting rain, and plan to watch the World Cup matches. (I’m for Norway.)

Lots of pretty teal scraps. It wasn’t a color I used much till I realized how pretty an accent color it was. Enjoy your slow weekend and the soccer.

Your aquas are really pretty with the black background! I haven’t used black in a rainbow quilt, but I always like it when I see it. How fun to see old friends over the holiday! We were Cub Scout leaders when our boys were growing up, too, and made many wonderful lifelong friends.

great aqua scrap blocks! So fun to see other people’s scraps. My scraps breed in my sewing room too. They never seem to get used up no matter how hard I try.
