The Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for September is PURPLE, my favorite color. My PURPLE scrappy basket is literally overflowing, so it was no problem to find plenty of pieces for my projects.
Signature Squares
Here are the 20 PURPLE blocks that I made from my scraps for September.
The current block count is 184, so I could make a 39″ square quilt if I was ready to do it, but I think I’ll keep on making blocks instead. I’m on the lookout for interesting layout options as I think about making this quilt.
In case you’re wondering, my injured foot is NOT broken. The bone is most likely bruised and there’s some soft tissue damage to the area, according to the orthopedic doctor. I’ll be in the boot or a post-op shoe for at least 4 weeks, and that’s the extent of it if all goes well. I’m still moving slowly, but now I know what I need to do to ensure proper healing.
