Hi Quilting Friends,
The Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for May is ORANGE. This has never been my favorite color, but I appreciate how it adds sparkle to a project. I’ve spent time with my ORANGE scrap collection, and I found enough pretties to make my blocks for May.

Signature Squares
My scrap collection includes more orange than I had anticipated, although the supply is running low, and the selection is limited. Here are the 20 blocks that I stitched in orange.

This block set now numbers 104, which is enough for a 30″ x 30″ quilt. I still haven’t played with them to choose a layout but the plan is to make more blocks first.
We’re enjoying some beautiful weather, and the flowers in the area are gorgeous. I’m ready to go outside and play, now that my blocks are all sewed up. How about you?
Have a great weekend, and Happy Mother’s Day if you are a Mom!
Happy quilting,
Sharon

Cute! Orange has never been one of my favorite colors either, but has grown on me somewhat through the years…especially for fall quilts! Have a great weekend.

Orange is a hard color to use except as an accent. Well maybe not when you are doing a Halloween quilt or an OSU (either Oregon or Oklahoma State) quilts. Enjoy both your stitching and playing outside time.

I agree! I mostly use orange just for Halloween or Autumn projects. Happy Mother’s Day!
