Hi Quilting Friends,
The Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for July is AQUA. My AQUA scrap basket is currently filled to the brim, and overflowing. I wonder if I’ll even notice that some scraps have been used. . .

Zipper Bag

I found two AQUA and gray orphan blocks in the orphanage drawer, so that’s the starting point for this aqua zipper bag.
I pulled out my 1.5″ AQUA scraps and used a nice pile of them to frame the blocks, enlarging both sides to create the bag sections.
The bag sections are quilted with variegated thread in aqua, blue, and green, using a loose meander.

The bag lining is a cute AQUA bee print, leftovers from a baby quilt that I made a long time ago. (The “baby” will be 20 in August.)
I hope that you’re having a nice weekend! We’re heading to the lake, visiting friends and spending the Fourth together. Happy 250th, USA!
Happy quilting,
Sharon

Thank you! I did some sewing since I was on standby to assist Mr. Fixit with a project. Nice to have a start on it already. 😊

Thank you! I made a scrappy basket in each color to help me organize my scraps. They look so pretty, sitting on the shelf in my studio.
