Hi Quilting Friends,
Welcome to our “12 Days of Christmas” blog series! We’re glad you’ve joined us.
Yesterday we shared the cute Christmas stocking that Sharon created for Naomi, her eldest Grand-Dogger. Today’s project is a stocking for Naomi’s “little sister”, Ruth.
Ruth is a two-year-old mostly border collie and lab mix, with loads of energy and silliness. When we first met her, Ruth called Sharon “Grrr” and Sharon’s husband “Grrr Grrr”. Now she just barks at us because she forgets that we’re visiting, like the girl in “50 First Dates”. Ruth helps everyone who is around feel the joy that she has, in abundance!

Here’s a picture of Ruth’s special stocking, complete with a goofy giraffe helper:

Ruth’s stocking features the same background fabrics, with variations in the trim and cuff colors, as Naomi’s stocking. The giraffe applique is from our “Santa’s Littler Helpers” (2016) series. Sharon added plenty of embellishments to Ruth’s stocking, including tiny jingle bells on the toe, to make it extra fun.
Today we’re giving away the “Giraffe Elf” PDF pattern to a lucky winner! Entries will be accepted through December 7 and the winner will be notified via email by December 9. Good luck!
Thanks again for visiting! Please plan to stop by again tomorrow for more holiday fun.
Happy quilting,
Sharon & Susan

What an adorable stocking! Sadly, no one helps me prepare our home for Christmas. My kids used to, but they are all grown with homes of their own now.

Thanks Susan! I’m pretty much on my own with decorations for inside the house. My husband enjoys putting up lights outside, and he helps with bringing boxes of decorations out of the attic when I ask.
